Middle-aged man with glasses smiling warmly in a dark blue shirt.

Hi. I'm an adult and YA writer from Melbourne/Naarm. My stories have appeared in various publications and journals. My debut YA novel, Gus and the Missing Boy, was shortlisted for the 2024 Ned Kelly Award for Best Debut Crime Fiction and the 2025 BAD Sydney Danger Award for Best Debut Crime Fiction. The sequel, Gus and the Burning Stones, was published in August 2025. I'm also the co-host of the Words and Nerds spin-off podcast Queer Writes Sessions with R.W.R. McDonald. My agent is Jane Novak, and my publisher is Wakefield Press.

I acknowledge the traditional owners of the unceded lands on which I write, work, and live - the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation. I recognise their continuing connection to land, waters and culture, and I pay my respects to their elders and storytellers past, present and emerging.
